JANTA CURFEW- A Noble Marketing Initiative
Hello everyone ! Marketing is not bad at all, so dont go with the age-old narrative about the marketing profession. It’s a very noble thing and as good as medical and defense. Other businesses can not be flourish without the help of marketing theories and the support of marketers.
Perhaps Marketing is considered a highly thankless and misunderstood profession in the world.
Marketers make things better by making better things, A human being or a group of people trying hard to change another human being, and it is crucial for a better future.
I consider Janta Curfew is a marketing initiative and strategic initiative by our great prime minister – Honourable Narendra Modi. Why it is strategic and decisive because of below-mentioned reasons :
Medical Grounds :
- Saturday night – Sunday- Sunday night – 36 hours no human to human contact.
- Twenty-four hours of curfew will break the chain of virus transmission.
- Eventually, this will kill the deadly virus on the surface itself.
- Furthermore, It will stop them infecting new human, hence
- Corona will not spread beyond the 2nd stage In India.
To Stop Community Spreading –
- A complete lockdown may spread panic in public; therefore, step by step initiative will fulfill the purpose of stopping human contacts. `
- The execution of the entire operation can’t be possible by the govt only unless the population as the whole will not engage in this activity.
Engagement
- Appearing on TV and appeal to all citizens to participate in JANTA CURFEW is a part of this entire strategy. The honorable PM has asked us to join in the self-imposed curfew. A curfew called – by the citizen, for the citizen, and of the citizen.
- It is better than a state-imposed curfew or lockdown, and this is where our prime minister has an edge on other politicians in India and abroad across.
Communication
- An eye to eye communication or, in another way, a direct connection to his audience. He has been doing this for long, and that’s the perfect way to establish contact and further getting feedback.
- Media Support:- Entire media, whether social, print, or electronic media, helped to attain this objective, and they all worked together. Its multi-channel media communication or maybe the example of an early stage of omnichannel communication.
At 5 PM, the call for cheering up is the perfect tactic for this strategy to make people aware and make them more sensitive towards this cause. Sound is essential for any BTL promotion, hence proved the most critical part of the marketing strategy.
I was not surprised why the prime minister of India got the prestigious Philip Kotler Award for marketing.
This Entire activity will pave a road to have a new culture of greetings, or we can say to get back the old Indian tradition of saying
1) NAMASTE instead of handshakes.
2) Avoid non-vag food and become vegetarian
3) Using Shankh, Ghariyal, and Ghanti ( Shell and bell) in evening prayers.
4) Doing Yoga and Pranayam to increase the immunity system.
A good marketing plan became a success when it transferred the strategy to culture. As Apple did, A apple users always choose a product from the Apple ecosystem.
Today we have seen a collective effort of 1.30 billion Indians engaging in everyday activity to express their gratitude towards working staff who are responsible for running the country, whatever may be the situation.
